Thurga – *Pain Free Hygienist

Thurga graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a Merit in 2019. Since then she has developed her knowledge and skills by attending several courses nationally, webinars and reading literature. This is to ensure her patients are receiving the most up to date advice as well as the highest standards of treatment using the latest technologies.

She joined the Pain Free Group team in 2020. You will see Thurga mainly for all your periodontal needs (gum treatment and stabilisation) and restorative treatment (fillings). She takes time to get to know her patients in a friendly and relaxed environment. She will ensure patients are put at ease during their treatment by adjusting to their needs and by utilising our amazing comfort menu that is available in the practice. Thurga will make sure patients are equipped with the knowledge and tools (yes, freebies!) to ensure they can restore their oral health at home too.

Aside of dentistry, Thurga loves to spend time with her family and friends. Her and her fiancé Gajan and his pet dog Babuloo love exploring Scotland including going on hikes to see waterfalls or waiting hours and hours to see the Northern Lights! Thurga is a foodie. She loves cooking and trying out different cuisines – Sri Lankan and Italian being the top two favourites.
